This is the one feature I right-click every day. Scene edit detection in Adobe Premiere Pro is able to slice up footage at perfect cut points. Keep in mind, it doesn't do the editing for you, but it certainly makes it easier. Scene edit detection speeds up rearranging, deleting, and closing gaps.
