"Do commercials have to say if they use AI?"

Welcome to FAiQ, where we answer the internet's most searched questions about AI production. Let me start by saying, I'm not a lawyer, but we have had a lot of experience making AI ads over the past two and a half years at Adwaken.

Every client has a different risk tolerance. A lot of this comes down to the use case and where the AI content will actually be running.

There's still a lot being sorted out between some states that have mandates and also the FTC's compliance rules.

We generally suggest that our client should include some sort of legal disclaimer, but it's up to their compliance team on whether that makes it into the final cut.

So do commercials have to say if they use AI?

For now, it might be worth adding a disclaimer.
